if someone is giving you genuine constructive criticism and not being a dick about it, try not to take it personally. I know that might not be easy, but try to think of it this way: they saw something in your work that they like and they think you have the potential to make it even better.
If they're just being dicks and offering nothing helpful or constructive say "cool story bro" and continue doing what you're doing. Don't dwell on it. It's not worth it.
Nobody likes to see someone drag their work but the fact is, you're never going to produce something EVERYONE likes. Nobody has ever produced something EVERYONE likes and nobody ever will. So just make the stuff you want to make.
